Great food, great drinks, great ambiance. I don't know how this place has only 3 1/2 stars. I usually won't go places that have less than four, but I remember liking this place from when we lived on this side of the bridge. It was Labor Day Weekend so even though it said online that it was closed on this Sunday evening, when we walked by it was open so we decided to give it a shot. The blood orange margarita is top notch and my husband liked his old fashioned. We ordered the Seafood Plateau, which was $79. We weren't sure how much food it would be and considered ordering a steak with it. Our server said we should wait to see how big it is so we ordered a Caesar Salad to go with it. The Caesar Salad has blue cheese on it, so if you're like my husband, make sure you ask for it on the side. I'm so glad we didn't order a steak with it, because we were absolutely stuffed. The Seafood Plateau changes, but when we got it, it came with crab legs, oysters, mussels, fish spread and shrimp, with a bunch of crostinis on the side. We couldn't finish the fish spread and both of us left stuffed. Honestly, we could have done without the Caesar Salad. It came with three sauces, which were delicious. This place is nice without looking pretentious. I appreciate seeing other patrons dressed up, even though you wouldn't look out of place in jeans with the decor of this place. I also like how there are little lights on each table so when it gets dark old people like us can still read a menu. We will definitely come back.
Old Friends, New Flavors: A Whimsical Day at Cassis in St. Petersburg, FL** Feel like you're missing something? You might just find it at Cassis St Pete--especially if that something is a long-lost friend who knows exactly when to say, "Let's forget the diets today." You know, the kind of friend who gives you a mischievous grin and says, "You get the brioche French toast, I'll get the bananas foster pancakes, and we'll switch plates halfway through. Deal? But we'll never tell." The inside dining? It's like a cozy retreat from the harbor buzz outside--quieter, perfect for sharing bites and belly laughs. Meanwhile, servers whisk by with trays of food that are probably healthier than what we ordered. (But don't worry--we've promised ourselves we'll try those 'healthy options' on our next visit...maybe.) So, if you're craving more than just a meal--perhaps a dose of nostalgia, a dash of indulgence, and a side of St. Petersburg charm--Cassis is where you and your favorite partner-in-crime can make it happen!
Wish could have stayed longer. But 30 mins left for lunch menu and 30 mins to dinner. Started with a Dirty Kettle One and an app of the fish spread. So full after that ... we will be back definitely for Brunch.
We popped in for one drink, but were very impressed. The bar and restaurant were beautiful and the bartenders were so friendly. Our drinks were great and the service was really good. I will definitely come back here to try the food next time.
Lovely brunch with $33 bottles of Prosecco with juices special on Sundays. Highly recommend the brioche French toast...topped with mascarpone, strawberries and bananas. Zack was especially attentive and provided excellent service outside.
I came here for a late lunch and it was seated right away. I am surprised I've never been to this restaurant before. The lunch menu had a lot of options and I got the burger special. It was a good burger with a lot of dressings on top. I also got their espresso martini and it came with a side of these delicious nuts that were dipped in a chocolate powder that was yummy. The service was friendly and prompt. I would definitely come back here again!
My friends were here visiting from NY and we decided to spend the night down in St. Pete and we're so glad we chose Cassis to get dinner! We loved the vibe and decided to eat outside to take in all that St. Pete has to offer. We decided to hold off on apps but we pigged out when it came to dinner. We all got something different and tried each others dishes and everything was fantastic!!!! I think my favorite thing was the pizza! Our server was the nicest, most patient guy. Great spot! In the prime spot of downtown St.Pete on Beach Drive, Cassis, a classic French cuisine. The restaurant feels like you are sitting in a restaurant in France, great ambiance and liveliness. I've seen a lot of bad reviews for the service, but it was great for us when we went. Very attentive and helpful with recommendations for the menu. The drinks are good here, they make a great espresso martini. The food - a spicy crispy chicken sandwich alongside a mushroom and truffle pizza, great complement to each other. A nice spot if you are in downtown St.Pete and looking for a French spot.
